I enjoy being active in the community and joined Windermere Abode in February of 2021 in large part because of their commitment to providing community support through their donations made to Windermere Foundation, Communities in Schools, Tacoma Rescue Mission, and Habitat for Humanity and their work towards equality in everyday life and an equitable housing market for all.

I serve as the national volunteer coordinator for wear blue: run to remember, engaging with and supporting our corporate partners and staffing races across the country with hundreds of volunteers. Each fee that I earn includes a donation to Windermere Foundation and a portion is set aside for donations to the groups that I support.

Affordable Housing

I believe that we need to work to meet the basic need of shelter and support organizations including Community Youth Services and Habitat for Humanity.

Accessible healthcare

Living and raising a child with serious medical needs has given me a new perspective on access to healthcare and introduced me to an amazing network of strong, caring individuals working to care for loved ones, raise funds for research, and assist and advocate for others. I’ve partnered with friends and UNTOLD+ to support one of their centers through regular donations and active fundraising, and I support JDRF, Arthritis Foundation, St Judes, and other healthcare and research organizations.

Veteran and family resources

As a MilSpouse, I’ve witnessed the hardships faced by veterans and their families, and I’m passionate about building resources and support to help military members and families navigate this life, veterans dealing with PTSD, and family and friends struggling after loss.
